Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.

Prolific children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions towards women.

The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
